Man Fatally Shot In Stamford's First Homicide Of Year

A man in his 20s was shot and killed in Stamford, marking the city's first homicide of the year.

The incident took place around 10:45 p.m., Saturday, March 30, on Garden Street, said Stamford Police Lt. Tom Scanlon.

The unidentified man was shot multiple times and died later at Stamford Hospital, Scanlon said.

An autopsy was performed Sunday, but details have not been released.

Scanlon said the department will be releasing additional information later Monday, April 1.
